You start from an ordinary document with sequential pages and get a ready-to-fold booklet PDF, without ever working out by hand which page sits next to which.

A folded booklet is built from four-page signatures, so the total page count must be a multiple of four. If your document is not, the tool automatically appends one to three blank pages at the end to complete the last signature and keep the pagination aligned — this is normal and expected.
To print, choose double-sided with flip on the short edge: this setting is what ensures the back aligns correctly with the front once folded.
