The moment you need to reuse a contract, refresh a CV or adjust a quote, editing the PDF as-is quickly becomes awkward. When you convert a PDF to DOCX, the text content, paragraphs and simple formatting usually come across well. Complex structures — nested tables, multiple columns, sidebars — are harder to reproduce faithfully and may need a little cleanup afterwards. So start from a document with clean text, and remember that the richer the layout, the more a quick review will pay off.
