WebP has become the dominant image format on the web: lighter than JPG, it speeds up page loading, and most sites now serve it by default. The problem appears when you save an image from your browser: the resulting .webp file is rejected by a crowd of software and services — older versions of Photoshop, office suites, upload forms, online print shops, business applications. You end up with an image your own computer struggles to use.
Converting a WebP to JPG (or to PNG if you need transparency) makes the image universal: it opens, inserts and prints everywhere. It's the required step to reuse a downloaded visual in a presentation, a Word document, a listing or a file to print — and you can process several images at once.
The conversion genuinely re-encodes the image with an adjustable quality setting. Choose JPG for photos and colorful visuals: it's the most compact and most compatible format. Prefer PNG for logos, screenshots and images containing text or transparency: PNG is lossless and keeps edges sharp. In both cases, the original image's resolution is fully preserved.
Once your images are converted, the image-to-pdf tool assembles them into a single PDF — handy for sending a batch of visuals as one attachment — and compress lightens the resulting document. For iPhone photos in HEIC format, the heic-to-jpg converter does the same job. As always on pdfOutils: no account required, no watermark added, and your files are automatically deleted from the server after processing.

Choose JPG for photos: the file is much lighter. Choose PNG for screenshots, logos and images with transparency: conversion is lossless and text stays perfectly sharp.
