Administrative forms, rental agreements, registration requests, employer certificates: fillable PDFs are everywhere, and the "print, fill in by hand, scan" routine wastes an enormous amount of time — assuming you even have a printer. If your PDF contains interactive form fields (AcroForm fields: text boxes, checkboxes, dropdown lists), you can fill them in directly online, cleanly, from your keyboard, and get back a neat, readable document.
The tool automatically detects every field in the document and presents them as a clear form: no more guessing where to click inside the PDF. Text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons and dropdowns are all supported — including on official multi-page forms.
Once the fields are filled in, you have two choices. Without flattening, the fields stay editable: handy for a working document a colleague will complete in turn. With the flatten option, the entered values are merged into the page content itself: the fields disappear as fields, and nobody can alter your answers with a click — the right setting before submitting an official form.
If no fields are detected in your PDF, it's probably a "flat" form (often a scan): use the edit tool to write directly on the document, or create-form to place interactive fields on it yourself. To finish up, sign adds your signature and protect locks the file with a password. As always on pdfOutils: no account required, no watermark added, and your files are automatically deleted from the server after processing.
