You only need part of the document

Sending a 90-page contract when someone asked for appendix 4 wastes everyone’s time — and sometimes discloses things you were not meant to share. Pulling out the right pages takes fifteen seconds and makes the document far easier to read.

  • You were asked for one appendix, not the whole document.
  • You want to remove a page that should not circulate.
  • A book scan gives you two pages side by side on one sheet.

Poulpi’s tip

To keep a few pages, use extraction and give the range. To drop a few from a long document, deleting pages is quicker. Note that removing a page does not necessarily remove the information, if it also appears elsewhere in the file.

FAQ

Common questions

Extract or delete — what is the difference?

Extraction creates a new document holding only what you name. Deletion keeps the document and removes what you name. Pick whichever is shorter to list.

Can I get one file per page?

Yes. The split tool can produce one file per page, or one every N pages, and hands the set back as a ZIP archive.

Is deleting a page enough to erase confidential information?

Not if the same information appears elsewhere in the file. And covering text with a black rectangle does not erase it — it stays selectable underneath. For a real removal, drop the whole page, then check the result by searching for the word in the output.
